Storyline

A kind 80 year old grandma named Mehri lives alone in a little town in Iran. Going through a lot of hardships in life, she has been awaiting in a little house on the foothill of the town for 35 years. Her sons hasn’t been visiting her for 20 years.

Every day she mount the hillside to be able to see one of her sons’ houses, even though she’s old and her feet don’t have the same strength as before, hoping they might come out of their houses and she could see them from a distance. Grandma Mehri is a confidante and companion for neighbors and the community. Mehri gets notified that her sons are going to visit her after 20 years. She wants to prepare herself for this reunion…

Lonely Humanity!

We believe that in the age of communications despite being surrounded by all these different types of media, nothing is harder for humanity than loneliness. Nothing can save mankind from all these trappings of the modern mechanical life except for the feeling of peace you get between your mother’s arms and her endless sea of love and kindness.

The chain of events in the modern life is taking humanity and civilizations to their end so fast that sometimes people forget the closest, the safest, and the kindest person in their lives and deprive themselves of her sea of affections.

The biggest tragedy for any human being is losing their mother which might happen for anybody in their lifetime. Last year I experienced this great tragedy and determined, with love and passion, to make a documentary about reverence of mothers in hope of compensating one drop of her endless sea of love.

This film can be just a little wakeup call for modern man in corners of the world.
