When I was a child, my mother had to perform the formalities of a ruler’s arrival when my father was coming home. I think all men are kings in my tribe/country, but their wives were never queens and most of them play the role of maids. Heavy physical work and nonstop service to the husband is an obligatory and vital duty of the women in Bakhtiyari tribe, to the extent that sometimes women completely forget all their basic rights. Nowadays everything is changing, Iranian new generation women (like Sara) are understanding their basic rights and they are fighting for freedom and life.
